I went to college in August 2011, and by May of 2013, I was a certified industrial electrician with an Associate's Degree in
Industrial Maintenance Technology. Since my graduation, I have gained much experience working in the field of my career. Contact me if you need an experienced, affordable, and reliable electrician.
I began to preach the Gospel of Christ in 2016. As men, we are called by God to be priests, protectors, and providers. As priests, we are to lead our families and communities to salvation through Christ by teaching them the Word of God and leading by example. As protectors, we are to protect them and keep them alive and safe from the wiles of Satan, so that they can attain salvation in Christ. As providers, we are to supply what they need in order for them to live holy and righteous, according to the will of God.
When faced with uncontrollable circumstances, a not so pleasant future, and odds which made it seem as though there was no way out of the jam that I was in, I surrendered. In February of 2016, in a desperate search for answers and salvation, I turned my life over to Christ Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. In doing so, God showed me hope and an expected end. He showed me a future of peace and not of evil. Because of God's grace, and not because of anything I had done, God forgave my sins, spared my life, and saved me from the mouth of the lion, the burning fiery furnace, and all those who persecuted me.
During my incarceration, the Lord began revealing things to me which He wanted me to share with the world. In 2017, I began writing Christian books, and before I was finished writing my third book, I was released from jail in February 2018. After release, I completed the book and published all three. Afterwards, I wrote and published 3 additional books, one being a journal.
Born and raised in rural Greenwood, Mississippi, I grew up playing football in the streets and yards of my small neighborhood. Although I developed a love for music early in life, being raised by a Christian family caused me to be prohibited from listening to certain music, but I still found a way to do so. Poverty stricken, Greenwood, Mississippi is and always has been overpopulated and somewhat segregated. Drugs and crime have always been a part of life there, so I learned to adapt. Gold teeth, big rims, and stylish clothing are just a few of the things which cause chaos in my hometown. I moved to Kansas in 2014, where I currently reside, and where everything is close by, just like Greenwood, so I feel right at home.
I write all my own songs - lyrics, hooks, choruses, etc., and I have always done this. Around the age of 12 years old, I wote a rap song, played Milestone's instrumental on my cousin's cd player, and recorded the song by using a $10 cassette player and a recordable cassette tape. To be honest, years later, while in my late teens and early twenties, I still used the same technique when recording. Although I had the ability to write songs, I, my brother, my cousins, and friends just sat around drinking and getting high while freestyle rapping as we recorded the tracks by using my cassette player. It wasn't until 2009, when Dash Brown and I became close, that Dash began producing my music tracks. In addition to song writing, I can make some pretty impressive instrumentals by using a keyboard that has 6 or more recording tracks.
Formerly known as Insane Kokaine since the late 90's, in 2015 I released a mixtape (DANGER 480 VOLTS) under that alias and began working on my first solo album. I earned features and spotlights on several mixtapes including Coast2Coast Live Hottest In The State Of Mississippi. Before completion of the project, my past lifestyle caught up with me and I was expedited from Kansas back to Mississippi to stand trial for murder. All Insane Kokaine projects had to be put on hold, and after two years in the Leflore County Jail, I came back to Kansas with a new purpose. This time around, my music had to be done to glorify God, so Insane Kokaine had to go. Now performing, singing, and rapping under my birth name, Edward Broom, the Spirit of God has given my music a new meaning and a new direction. Second Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 says that any man in Christ is a new creature. Old things have passed away and all things are new.
